Interpreter of maladies

I loved it! No wonder this collection of short stories by Jhumpa Lahiri won Pulitzer prize! All stories have a depressing end, most of them are related to the life of Indian immigrants in US of A. Especially the last story, 'The third and final continent' doesnt exactly have a sad ending but its very touching, may be because somewhere u can relate to it. The language is very simple and to the point. It takes u by surprise how the author can put deep emotions so dryly and bluntly, as all stories are written in third person. Very good investment of money and time!

Pirates of the caribbean: Dead man's chest

The sequel is no exception to the popular standards so far: lots of graphics, extravagant sets, lost story, disastrous end! The curse of black pearl was superbly made with camera most of the times on human faces and not some weird looking dirty creatures. First half of second part is still ok, but second half is so repeatative and the movie maker was too tempted to show his talents, so it was overdid (shahrukh style). Johnny Depp is awesome (this comment is biased), so he tries his best to save the movie but weird looking creatures steal the show and dont let u enjoy the movie..
