Kill Bill

Boy, does this female rock o'wot! I am a self-confessed fan of Uma Thurman since the good ol' Pulp Fiction days. Kill Bill I saw very late, surprisingly! But watched it three times in a row when I did. It has that specific Tarantino feel, the music, background of the wild west with a wild female out there killing people ruthlessly for her revenge. Normally, not a great fan of action/gory movies, I loved every bit of this one. First of all, the plot is very strong, the entire movie is very well put together with a lot of variety to the eyes from black and white wedding massacre scene to the anime crime scene to the japanese art of fighting! And most importantly, it doesnt have those fat empty headed action studs with muscles popping out, but here the fighters are suave, beautiful women namely uma thurman and lucy liu. You just have to see it to believe it, very stylish action flick!

Nishabd

Moderately watchable movie, as usual Im so biased towards Amitabh or wot, he is brilliant! The female Jiah Khan can look hot sometimes but I was so fed up looking at her pencil thin legs all the time, which by the way, are not very hot! pencil thin is never hot....
The concept is new for bollywood, taken from Kubrick's Lolita, which was much more explicit with the female lead who was 12 (!!!) yr old. In the middle of the movie, Amitabh has a monologue, where he states why an older male or even female gets attracted towards the younger ones. It might be the fear of old age, and a desire to feel young again, to relive the moments in the spring of youth lost under responsibilities, expectations and mundane duties. When he says, he has 'no complaints' about his marriage...and Revathy doesnt understand him for what he feels in the end, worth of a lifetime spent with someone who doesnt know you! thats scary! Overall, the movie makes the viewer think, no solid story as such, but just a strong concept which not many people would like to think about. Good movie with a fresh flavor and amazing cinematography shot in Munnar.
